Three Reasons to Store Company Documents Online

Store Company Documents Online

Our HR system includes unlimited space for uploading and creating company documents like letters, contracts and staff handbooks. If you want to know how to store company documents online, then head over to this short tutorial – the instructions are easy, and there’s even a quick video to walk you through the steps.

But is it really a good idea to store your documents online, instead of keeping physical copies of everything? We think so, and here are three good reasons why:

1. Less Clutter. Do you really want to be chained to the printer, shuffling through folders or dancing around your dusty old filing cabinet all day? Maybe you do… but probably you don’t. Migrating your paper files to the cloud eliminates cluttered desktops and tightly-packed HR offices.

2. Easy Distribution. You don’t need to print and hand out contracts to every new starter who walks through your doors. You don’t even have to send separate emails – one click can have you sharing the same document multiple times using information already stored in your HR system.

3. Who’s Read It? Once you’ve handed somebody a letter, how do you know when they’ve actually read it? Is it too early to say “hey, shall we chat about that letter now?”, or did they read it ages ago and forget already? With People, you can see who’s viewed which document. Nice!

These are my top three reasons for storing company documents online. What are yours?
