Top 10 HR Blogs of 2015
We really love finding entertaining and educational content about Human Resources and People Management.
This year, we’ve been reading some really great blogs. Before we jump into 2016, we wanted to list some of the best HR blogs we’ve been following in 2015.
So, in reverse order, here are the top 10 HR blogs we’ve been reading this year. Enjoy!
Corn on the Job has been going for more than 5 years now, and is an excellent little website for jobseekers looking to grab quick tips and great advice on landing a job. Although the articles are mainly written for jobseekers, this neat little site often has great ideas for Human Resources professionals, too.
The HR Digest aims to ignite global conversation about the people and ideas that matter most to the world of human resources. As well as publishing a quarterly magazine, they post regular online articles that cover news and trends related to leadership, culture, training & development, recruitment, compensation & benefits, and HR technology.
Steve Brown runs this rather flamboyant little HR blog. There’s nothing fancy or flashy about its design – it’s just a simple WordPress template. But no matter whether he’s talking about serious HR strategy, or more light-hearted topics (like HR catwalks), you’ll notice that Steve is very, very passionate about Human Resources, and he’s not afraid to show it.
This blog is maintained by Trish McFarlane, the CEO of H3 HR Advisors, and also the CEO/Co-Founder of HRevolutionize, LLP. Trish has a lot of experience in the Human Resources industry, and puts it to work on her HR Ringleader blog, offering advice on everything from task management to public speaking. It’s a mixed bag of information, but it’s all pretty relevant if you work in HR.
Sirona Consulting is a recruitment consultancy with a specialist focus on social recruitment. Their blog is written by Andy Headworth, who is named as one of the 100 top social HR leaders on Twitter (by The Huffington Post). It is updated several times a month, and is packed with very useful advice on utilising social media and technology for improving your recruitment strategy.
If you can forgive a severe lack of personality, then Xpert HR could be one of the most useful resources to stick in your bookmarks. Their website is bursting with sensible advice surrounding employment law and legislation, and they maintain a huge stack of FAQs for both US and UK audiences. Their blog is worth exploring, but some of their content is only available to paying members.
“All HR people are evil”. It’s a bold statement, and it sits on the Evil HR Lady’s front page as proud as punch. We simply LOVE this blog – it’s packed full of blunt, to-the-point information and advice, and even includes a Q&A column where the Evil HR Lady answers a diverse range of user-submitted questions. If you don’t much care for tiptoeing around taboo topics and terminologies, then this blog is for you.
This is one of our favourites! HR Morning is the most cheerful HR-related online newspaper we’ve found, and is a great way to catch up on the latest headlines over your morning coffee. If you don’t want to check-in with them every day, you can subscribe to their newsletter for a weekly breakdown of what’s been happening in the world of Human Resources.
HR Zone is another all-round great blog about Human Resources and People Management. It has a very nice layout, and covers a huge range of topics that are all useful to Human Resources professionals. They tend to add new content multiple times a day, which means they’re always worth a check for something fresh in the morning.
Ere Media work hard to provide up-to-date insights on HR trends, and they really deliver. Over the years, they have become one of the most popular resources for HR professionals and recruiters all over the world. They also offer webinars, a job board, and twice-yearly conferences.
